Call for Vendors   Mango Festival Video

June 17, 2009… The Mango Festival Committee is calling for individuals interested to vend during the August 15 & 16, activities to make an application.

Deadline for the applications’ submission is July 30th. They must be returned to the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Housing & The Environment, Laison Officer, Marcelle Freeland –John.

A 10’x10’ tent space is provided at a cost of $50.

Guidelines For Vendors

The Mango Festival Committee and the Christian Valley Agricultural Station proudly invite you to participate in this year’s 2nd Annual Mango Festival. This year we are inviting you to share in two days of entertainment, food and fun on August 15 & 16 th . Spaces are limited so the festival committee reserves the right to accept or deny any applications.

VENDOR Set-up, Break Down and Operation Hours

The festival will be open to the public from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm both days. All participating vendors are asked to set up by 5:00 pm Friday afternoon, or by 8:50 am on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Vendor locations will be assigned during the week prior to the event. Security will be provided for the duration of the festival.

All vendors will receive one (1) Vehicle Admission Pass and three (3) Daily Admission Passes. Only vendors with proper credentials will be allowed to drive into the event. All vehicles must be parked in the designated vendor area. If you arrive after the specified setup times, vendor set-up may not be permitted.

BOOTH Spaces

Vendors: $50.00. Booth fees must be paid in full upon returning this contract. CASH and CHEQUES will be accepted. All applications must be received by July 30th; there will be NO REFUNDS after that date. In the event of cancellation, prior to August 05 Th, 20% will be deducted from any fees received.

Booths in tents provided by the Mango Festival committee include a 10’ x 10’ tent space with one table and chair. Vendors may provide their own additional table, chairs, display boards, etc. as needed.

Prior to the start of the event vendors using their own pickup or car must provide the license plate number of the vehicle for which they need a vehicle pass. If your vehicle and display exceeds the allotted space, the Festival committee reserves the right to adjust the booth pricing fee.

There is a limited supply of 220 volt electricity available on a first come, first serve basis. Make you request early.

To satisfy national health regulations, Food Venders must have and display their up-to-date Food Vendor Badge at all times during Mango Festival.

GENERAL Notes

Christian Valley Mango Festival is a family event. The sale and use of alcoholic beverages and illegal substances are strictly prohibited on Christian Valley Agricultural Station grounds.

It is understood that the Christian Valley Mango Festival Committee assumes no responsibilities for any loss or damage suffered from theft, vandalism, destruction by fire, acts of God or Insurance for the general public attending.

The Mango Festival committee reserves the right to the names THE MANGO FESTIVAL and THE CHRISTIAN VALLEY MANGO FESTIVAL. Any printed articles; i.e., T-shirts, banners, etc., being sold using these copyright names will be confiscated.

The Mango Festival Committee is not responsible for any denials of permission to operate, therefore if any vendor—Food or Non-Food—is found in violation of any governmental rules and regulations; i.e., Mango Festival Contract or failure to comply with rules and guidelines established by the Government of Antigua & Barbuda for this event, security will immediately remove said vendor.
